Major Official Visitor Weekend
Oregon is set to host a plethora of its top targets this weekend. Among some of the biggest names in Eugene this weekend are: Richard Wesley, Brandon Arrington, Tyler Atkinson, Calvin Russell III, Joey O’Brien, and Jett Washington. The Ducks will host both Tristan Phillips and Xavier Lherisse on return visits, and Oregon already holds verbal commits from both of them.
Three of these players have upcoming commitments; Joey O’Brien will commit June 20th, Calvin Russell July 5th, and Brandon Arrington July 5th. Richard Wesley committed to Oregon before backing off of his verbal commitment 17 days later, but the Ducks are still in a fantastic spot for him, and I think Wesley returning this weekend speaks volumes. Atkinson also doesn’t have a commitment date, like Wesley, and the Ducks are fighting Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, and Alabama. Notably, Atkinson hasn’t scheduled an official visit to Georgia yet, who has been the leader for some time. Jett Washington was a late addition to this weekend’s visitor list, and was originally supposed to be at Ohio State this weekend. That has been cancelled and he will now visit Eugene, coming off of back-to-back visits with Alabama, and USC. The Bishop Gorman (Nev.) talent is the Nation’s No. 3 Safety according to On3, and a 5-Star prospect. With Oregon loading up their list of visitors for the first week of official visits, fans should expect some buzz out of this weekend.
Oregon will also be hosting 3-Star OL Jax Tanner, and 3-Star LB Hudson Dunn this weekend. Dunn is currently committed to Minnesota and last visited the Ducks on April 11th. The Liberty High (Ari.) talent took his official visit with the Gophers on May 30th. Jax Tanner is coming off of an official visit with Michigan, and now will visit Oregon, before visits in consecutive weekends with Tennessee, and BYU. Tanner will be taking a two-year mission trip for the Church of Jesus Christ, meaning he will arrive on campus in 2028.

Signal Caller News
Oregon continues to push for a 2026 Quarterback and have been in consistent contact with both 5-Star athlete Keisean Henderson, and 4-Star Luke Fahey. Fahey has schools like Indiana and Stanford at the top of his list, but Ohio State and potentially Oregon will be receiving official visits. Henderson is committed to Houston currently, but is being pursued by Oregon, Florida State, and Alabama. Henderson will take official visits to Florida State and Houston on June 9th, and June 12th, respectively.
In addition to these names that haven’t been as widely discussed, Oregon has made the top 4 for 4-Star QB Matt Ponatoski from Archbishop Moeller High (OH). Ponatoski is a two-sport athlete, who will also play baseball at his school of choice. The Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year in both Football and Baseball has a top 4 of Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, and Oregon. The 6’1 195-pound signal caller will visit Alabama June 6th-8th, and will visit Oregon June 20th-22nd.
5-Star QB Ryder Lyons is an extremely touted player in this class, but is another prospect taking a mission trip before enrolling at the school of his choice. Lyons however, will only be taking a 1-year mission trip. Admittedly, I had never heard of this being done prior, but that was the latest I heard on the status of his trip. The Folsom High (Calif.) talent was expected to be at USC this weekend, but now sounds like he won’t make it on campus. Oregon is slated to receive a visit from the 6’2 220-pound QB June 13th, before BYU hosts him June 19th. This recruitment is really close between Oregon and BYU, and the Ducks haven’t had the greatest luck pulling in LDS recruits recently. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Ryder come off the board in the next few weeks here, but if he does hold off, look for an early Fall commitment.
Last night, Henderson tweeted that he had shut down his recruitment. We will keep you updated on how much contact continues moving forward.

Big-Time Summer Commitments
In addition to several loaded official visitor weekends, Oregon will see a boatload of their top prospects fly off the board in the Summer and early Fall. Here are a few of those prospects, which Oregon is in the shortlist for, and some news on them.
4-Star WR Messiah Hampton set a commitment date for June 13th, and the top 3 for him at this point are Oregon, Syracuse, and Penn State. The 6’1 180-pound wideout has been a priority for (somewhat) new WRs Coach Ross Douglas, who the Ducks brought over from Syracuse. Oregon has been at the top of his list since that point, and are well-positioned. Hampton visits Syracuse June 5th for the weekend, before making it to Eugene on June 9th. Previously, the James Monroe High (NY) wideout visited Penn State May 16th, and Miami May 30th.
4-Star S Joey O’Brien is visiting this weekend as mentioned above, and will be committing on June 20th. It was imperative to get the Pennsylvania native back on campus before his commitment and the Ducks were able to do that. Oregon has their work cut out for them here, as Notre Dame, Penn State, and Clemson have all either led or have had surges in momentum recently. O’Brien took his official visit with the in-state Nittany Lions May 16th, and is fresh off of a Clemson visit last weekend. The newly crowned 5-Star on 247 Sports will be in Eugene this weekend before visiting Notre Dame June 13th.
4-Star WR Jalen Lott will come off the board on July 4th, a day last year that was a major WR haul for the Ducks, nabbing Dakorien Moore. Lott’s top contenders are Georgia, LSU, USC, Texas, and Oregon. Lott visited the Bulldogs May 16th, LSU May 30th, is visiting USC June 6th, Texas June 13th, and Oregon June 20th. The Ducks getting the final visit could bode well for them, and they have some work to do in this one to land the Panther Creek (Tex.) consensus Top-50 player.
July 5th will be a huge day for the Ducks, and two 5-Star DBs, Safety Jireh Edwards, and Corner Brandon Arrington will announce their commitments. Jireh Edwards will choose from Oregon, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, and Texas A&M. The St. Frances Academy (MD) DB will visit Alabama June 6th, Texas A&M June 13th, and Oregon June 19th before his commitment. Edwards visited Georgia last on April 11th, and the Bulldogs may still get another visit. The Nation’s No. 3 Safety also visited Auburn May 30th.
Brandon Arrington will come off the board at the same time, and he will choose from a list of Penn State, Texas A&M, Alabama, USC, and Oregon. Texas A&M is the perceived leader at this point in time, so Oregon will have some ground to make up over the next month. Washington isn’t in Arrington’s final 5 list, but he made a surprise official visit to the Huskies May 30th. The 5-Star athlete, and dual sport talent will visit Oregon June 6th, before heading to Tuscaloosa June 13th, USC June 17th, and College Station June 20th. The Nittany Lions previously hosted Arrington on May 2nd, and have family ties there.
4-Star CB Chauncey Kennon will come off the board July 6th, but it was a surprise when he listed the Ducks in his top 6 schools list. LSU, Florida State, Florida, Miami, and Georgia are the other five besides Oregon and all will receive visits, while there hasn’t been a visit scheduled to Eugene. Kennon visited Florida May 16th, and Miami May 30th. The Sarasota, FL DB will visit Georgia June 6th, Florida State June 13th, and LSU June 20th.
4-Star LB Nick Abrams II is eyeing a July 16th commitment date, gearing up for consecutive weekends on official visits. The Maryland native will visit Michigan on June 6th, Alabama June 13th, and Oregon June 20th. The No. 6 player in Maryland previously visited Georgia on May 16th.
The first early Fall commitment to be thinking about is 5-Star OT Immanuel Iheanacho, who has previously named Oregon as his top school. Iheanacho is another player out of Maryland, and the second guy in this story from St. Frances Academy. Iheanacho completed a visit with LSU last weekend, and will head to Auburn on June 6th, before visiting Penn State June 13th, and Oregon June 20th.
