July 4
Recruiting Roundup

The Ducks have been scorching hot recently on the recruiting trail and fans should be on the lookout for a few more in the coming weeks. Let’s take a look at what all you’ve missed from the past week in Oregon recruiting.
Ducks have three early July fireworks
As mentioned in the beginning, Oregon has picked up some serious steam lately in recruiting. All of that really began by landing 2026 4-Star WR Messiah Hampton on June 13th. Since then, the Ducks have landed 5-Star Safety Jett Washington, 4-Star QB Bryson Beaver, 3-Star IOL Koloi Keli (both in June). In July alone, Oregon has added 5-Star OT Immanuel Iheanacho, 4-Star Safety Devin Jackson, and 4-Star OT/IOL Tommy Tofi to the recent haul. Alique Terry has been perhaps the most impressive in the recent weeks, flipping both Keli and Tofi from Cal, and scoring the commitment of Oregon’s highest rated Offensive Lineman in school history with Iheanacho.
Top 3 Schools for Anthony “Tank” Jones
Thursday evening, Jones released his top 3 schools list with Alabama, Texas A&M, and Oregon being included. I’ve said it before, but the Ducks are a serious contender here, as the decision nears, you wonder if the proximity to home or top offer will win out. There is no commitment date set in stone for Tank, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him commit in July. The staff is selling Jones heavily on their EDGE development, and have the track record to back that up.
4-Star WR Commitment Preview
2026 4-Star Jalen Lott will announce his commitment on July 8th, and Oregon is right at the top, with Texas and USC still heavily involved as well. USC has the biggest outstanding offer of the three schools, and Texas is pushing hard late here. With all of that in mind, Oregon is in a great spot as things sit, but Texas won’t allow the Panther Creek (Tex.) native to slip out of their backyard without a challenge.
Oregon vs. Michigan Duel for 2 Prospects
The first prospect Oregon and Michigan are dueling it out for is 2026 4-Star DL Deuce Geralds, with the Wolverines holding a substantial NIL offer for him. The current intel suggests that both schools are neck and neck for the Collins Hill (GA) talent. Originally Ohio State was a major player in Geralds’ recruitment, and led for some time, but they now have 4 defensive lineman committed. With the Buckeyes out of the picture, that has left Oregon, who was behind Ohio State previously, and the Wolverines who have surged in this recruitment. Don’t be shocked to see a surprise announcement from Geralds.
The second is 2026 4-Star CB Davon Benjamin. There has been a rumored timeline of August for Davon, but that could quickly change. TRL has reiterated his confidence in the relationships at Oregon winning out in this one over Michigan, who is giving him a lot to think about with early playing time and NIL. Benjamin is a player that the Ducks have been recruiting for a long time and TRL and I expect Coach Wadood to close this one out in Oregon’s favor.
Linebacker Hotboard: Recruitment Updates
Oregon has two remaining targets at Linebacker in the 2026 class, in 5-Star Tyler Atkinson, and 4-Star Nick Abrams II. While there has been some really good news at other positions, things don’t look great here for the Ducks. Atkinson is likely going to boil down to a bidding war, and distance is playing a pretty big factor late for Abrams II. While distance is becoming a factor late, Oregon has still positioned themselves well, and has always done a great job here. Typically though, when a recruit mentions distance being a factor, they don’t end up at Oregon.
Oregon makes cut list for Priority 2027 Recruit
In an unofficial top 15 schools list, 2027 4-Star CB Jerry Outhouse Jr cuts a good chunk of schools out, leaving Oregon still in the hunt. The 6’0 175-pound North Crowley (Tex.) talent included some other high-level programs like in-state Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Michigan, and Notre Dame.
Calvin Russell Update
Both Travis and I have been asked about 2026 5-Star WR Calvin Russell, and where Oregon sits, ahead of his July 5th commitment. Despite being listed as part of his Top 4 list, and having a hat on the table, the Ducks are out. I’m expecting Michigan or Syracuse, both schools are giving him the chance to play football and basketball.
2026 Recruiting Class Logistics
This will be kept brief, but Oregon at the time of writing this has 14 committed prospects, with several targets popping in the next month. The staff has continually preached Quality> Quantity and will not cave from that philosophy. The Ducks will likely sign 18-20 players in this year’s class unless they are able to add an extra premium player or two at signing day.
