Recruiting Roundup
After a few priority targets opted to verbally commit elsewhere, Oregon had a rather uneventful week in recruiting. Here’s a recap of everything you have missed since last Thursday.

2027 Priority Defensive Lineman Update
5-Star DL Jalen Brewster from Cedar Hill HS (Tex.) gave me an update this week on some of his top schools, or schools recruiting him the hardest. The 6’3 302-pound interior defensive lineman told me, “Oregon, Texas, USC, SMU, Oklahoma, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, and Miami,” are the schols pushing hard right now. There have been rumors tht Brewster will be reclassifying to 2026 as well. While he told me he isn’t considering it, there are reports that would contradict what he told me. My take is that he’s trying to keep the situation quiet and if he is to reclassify he wants to do so whenever he feels best to do it. The Ducks have consistently found themselves at the top of the list for Jalen, and should be considered a major contender here.

2026 Priority Linebacker Targets end up in the SEC
While both Travis and I had predicted Tyler Atkinson and Nick Abrams II wouldn’t be choosing Oregon, it still was a bummer to hear them go elsewhere. Tyler Atkinson opted to commit first to Texas, a battle where the Ducks finished third. Nick Abrams on the other hand, chose Atkinson’s long time leader, and runner-up in his recruitment, Georgia. The Ducks finished second in the Abrams II sweepstakes, and distance really complicated things for Oregon. I think it’s astonishing how Atkinson visited Athens 18 times before his commitment and is a Georgia native, but ends up elsewhere.

Dual Recruiting Interview Week
I posted two interviews this week, one coming from 2026 4-Star WR commit Messiah Hampton, who broke down what went into his commitment and his play style. The second interview was for former 2027 4-Star EDGE Prince Tavizon, who broke down his incredibly difficult decision to reclass to 2026. Tavizon gave me a breakdown on how his verbal commitment is still locked in, and hasn’t faltered, but he will be visiting other schools in the fall. There is a lot more context than can be added in here that you’ll miss if you haven’t ready these. They are linked in the next sentence on the player’s names. Update on Oregon staff and Recruiting
At this point of the summer, most of Oregon’s staff is on vacation, or taking time with family, before Fall Camp kicks into gear at the end of July. Oregon is expecting recruiting to pick up for a bit around the end of July, into early August, before cooling back off again. The Ducks will look to flip some players in the fall, as they always do under Head Coach Dan Lanning. The staff knows what they’re doing and is maneuvering this cycle very well.

Small Updates
Big Ten Media Day is taking place next week in Las Vegas, Travis has some announcements for the Ducks Rising community next week as we ramp up into Fall Camp. The Oregon Media Day is slated to be July 28th, just before Fall Camp begins.
This is a reminder that 2026 5-Star EDGE Anthony “Tank” Jones isn’t trending to any school at this point, despite some clickbait articles. Both Oregon and Alabama are very much 50/50 according to our latest reports.

Countdown to the Season & Fall Camp
For those that are eagerly awaiting this season, here’s your weekly reminder on how far away the season is. Fall Camp begins on July 30th, only 12 more days, and only 43 more days until Oregon takes the field for it’s week 1 matchup against Montana State.
