Recruiting Roundup

Within the past week, Oregon has continued to pick up more buzz in recruiting, and landed a commitment as well. Here’s a quick dive into everything else you may have missed in Oregon recruiting.

The Ducks score a commitment from a 4-Star WR

Oregon landing Panther Creek (Tex.) wideout Jalen Lott on Tuesday was a major win for Ross Douglas and staff. The 6’0 170-pound Athlete/WR gave the Ducks some late July 4th fireworks, after a scorching hot week of recruiting. Lott can play both sides of the ball, but is expected to play wideout, while also planning to high-jump for the Track & Field team. Ross Douglas was able to land Lott over Texas, USC, and LSU.

Priority 4-Star DL Deuce Geralds commitment date & finalists

On Wednesday, 4-Star DL Deuce Geralds of Collins Hill (GA) released his final 5 schools and a commitment date of August 2nd. There was steam for a bit about Geralds moving his commitment date up even further, but he instead elects to decide in early August. The main competition here for the Ducks is Michigan, with Ole Miss, Ohio State, and LSU on the outside looking in.

4-Star CB Target nearing a decision date

4-Star Defensive Back Davon Benjamin is nearing a commitment date, without currently named finalists. The Oaks Christian (Calif.) talent is expected to announce his commitment in August as well, with the main two schools involved being Oregon and Michigan.

Priority 5-Star EDGE target releases finalists & nearing commitment

Anthony “Tank” Jones released his Top 3 schools last Thursday including Oregon, Alabama, and Texas A&M. Last week I broke down how each team was selling him on something different. We’re now told that the Mobile, AL native is expected to decide before the season begins. Alabama got the final visit, and I’d say the top two schools are the Crimson Tide and the Ducks.

5-Star LB Tyler Atkinson closing in on a decision

2026 5-Star LB Tyler Atkinson has been a priority for Dan Lanning since 8th grade, and now the Grayson (GA) product is preparing to make his decision. The finalists are Clemson, Georgia, Oregon, and Texas. The 6’2 215 LB told On3’s Hayes Fawcett, a decision is “coming soon.”
